L’oscar hotel is delighted to announce that they have partnered with luxury gelato artisans, Snowflake Luxury Gelato, to offer their guests a spot of summer indulgence this August.
From the 1st to 31st August, nine sinfully delicious gelatos will be available, four of which will be signature flavours especially designed for the boutique Bloomsbury hotel. The gelato will be available throughout the hotel from the room service menu – allowing guests to indulge in luxury gelato from the comfort of their own room. There will also be a bespoke cart outside the hotel, for guests and passers-by to enjoy Snowflake gelato in the August sunshine.
Snowflake and L’oscar have put their heads together to create L’oscar signature gelato flavours, inspired by the popular desserts available at The Baptist Grill. The L’oscar signature gelatos will include Strawberry and basil sorbet, based on L’oscar hotel’s popular dessert, Strawberry Jelly, which consists of basil ice cream, gariguette and wild strawberries, white chocolate and orange cream. Yoghurt, lemon, thyme and apricot gelato will also be available on the L’oscar signature menu, in homage to The Baptist Grill’s Yoghurt and Lemon Thyme Parfait pistachio cake with roasted apricots. Classic flavours will also be available, such as Salted caramel, Mango sorbet, Stracciatella and a Vegan friendly chocolate and coconut. The gelatos will cost £4 for a scoop, £5 for two scoops and £6 for three scoops.
For a boozy twist on the L’oscar signature flavours, Café L’oscar and The Baptist Bar will be serving Snowflake gelato cocktails such as the Bubble Breeze, containing City of London Gin, raspberry and lemon verbena sorbet and sparkling wine and the Choco Dream made with Charente Mix, chocolate and banana ice cream and Pimento Dram. Designed to enhance the flavour of the gelato, the cocktails will be priced at £13 and served from 4pm to 9pm, Monday to Saturday.
Snowflake Luxury Gelato is made by hand in the traditional Italian way using only the world’s finest ingredients, so each gelato is naturally unique, just like snowflakes. The gelatos are made with creamy organic Jersey milk, which comes from a family farm in Somerset, whilst their nuts are grown in the Italian mountainsides. Gelato is churned at a much slower rate than ice cream, incorporating less air, giving the gelato a denser, creamier texture with ‘snowflake’ style crystals.
Snowflake Luxury Gelato will be available at L’oscar until 31st August and will be served from 9am to 9pm on Monday to Saturday.
