Scandic To Expand Two Norwegian Hotels

Scandic has also signed an agreement for an expansion with property owner Utstillingsplassen to add 69 rooms to the existing Scandic Hamar in Hamar, Norway, bringing the total number of rooms to 308 in addition to renovating the hotel’s conference facilities. The new rooms are expected to be in operation during 2021. The parties also agreed to extend the existing lease agreement.

– “These renovations and developments are important for our offering in the Norwegian market. We will create a large, attractive hotel in the expanding Helsfyr area in Oslo and also further strengthen our market position in Hamar”, says Svein Arild Steen-Mevold, Head of Scandic Hotels Norway.
